Davidstorpasjöns FVO

Lake Davidstorpasjön is a lake of great natural beauty and surely is a nice lake for fishing, located in the highest parts of the Småland highlands. The water is fresh and does not suffer from acidification, which means that the caught fish have delicious meat. There are vast numbers pike and perch inhabiting the lake, with top weights of 12 kilos (pike) and more than 1 kilo (perch).

Even the roach grows to respectable sizes in the lake and fish around 800 grams have been caught. Whitefish and vendace are also a part of the ecosystem of the lake, as well as signal crayfish. Fishing for crayfish is restricted to land owners, however. The most widely used method while aiming for the fish species in the lake are spin fishing, but match fishing, trolling and ice fishing also work well.
