Västmanland is located in Svealands landlocked and bordered Södermanland, Värmland, Dalarna, Gästrikland and Upland.
County is variable in nature. In the Southeast, you find very fertile plains, while in the northwest finds a landscape that rises and thereby to mostly abandon the agricultural landscape to a more hilly terrain filled with hills, forests and lots of lakes. Fish that you can catch in Västmanland include perch, pike, perch, salmon, trout, grayling and trout. Fishing is incredibly varied and, thanks to the large number of water you can pick and choose between different fishing methods and species. In addition to large water as Lake Mälaren and Hjälmaren Dalälven flows also through the county.
