Västerbotten is Sweden's second largest province and occupies an eighth of the country's land area.

As Norrbotten Vasterbotten so provides a lovely Norrland landscape with plenty of rivers, mountain lakes, seascapes and mountain scenery. Along the bottom of the bay, it's a pretty barren coastal landscape which then is in a more classic mountain environment in the more westerly parts. The interior is dominated by natural forests and peatlands with enormous many lakes. Västerbotten is located directly south of the Arctic Circle, which offers wonderful summer nights with the midnight sun and the bright days.

Vindel River is one of Sweden's national rivers, which means it is protected from the expansion of hydropower. The fish that can be found in Västerbotten is Char, Lake Ring, sea trout, salmon, grayling, whitefish, pike, perch and others.
