Nedre Ammeråns FVOF

Nedre ammerån's Fisheries Management Area is a member of Sweden's Fishing Water Owners' Association. Sweden's Fishing Water Owners' Association is a nationwide interest organization for the country's owners and managers of individual fishing waters.

Within the fisheries management area, we carry out active fisheries management to ensure good fishing in both summer and winter.
In Ammerån, the restoration of environments affected by the raft is underway within the Ecostreams for LIFE project through restoration measures such as opening channels that have been blocked since the rafting, laying playground gravel, re-establishing river pearl mussels, overhauling road culverts in tributaries and more.
These measures may affect fishing in the river.
For current information about ongoing work within the project, please contact our contact person for the fisheries management area.
In the ponds, fish are continuously released, both ready-to-catch fish for the winter season and smaller fish for rearing into semi-wild fish.
