Persons under the age of 15 may, free of charge, fish with a fishing rod with different types of lures, angling, fly fishing and angling, as well as towing for a rowing boat. Trolling or vertical fishing where the engine is used during the actual fishing is not included. All others who wish to fish in Lake Rottnen must obtain a fishing license.
Children under the age of 15 are allowed to fish for free with casting rod with different kinds of lures, jig, coarse fishing, fly fishing and trolling from from a rowing boat (without any use of a motor while fishing). Everybody over the age of 15 years old who wants to go fishing in lake Rottnen have to buy a fishing permit.

A base card and a technology supplement must therefore be purchased for the possibility of trolling by motor boat or vertical fishing with use of engine.
