In western Härjedalen near Norway's border lies Tännäs fishing area. Here you will find hundreds of lakes and streams, and a very clear nature with rocky boulders, pine forests and dry cows.
The mountain world around Tännäs offers fishy lakes and flowing water. When mountains meet forests, it means that the composition of the species differs between almost every fishing lake. There are both typical mountain species like trout, char and harry as well as perch, whiting and pike. The most distinguishing feature of the area is Härjedalen's landscape fishing, the large-scale naval hero.
Largest is Lake Rogen, which also named Roggen Nature Reserve, a fabulous mountain range with a variety of waters for fishing and canoeing. ( Note that the lake Rogen itself is not included in the fishing license, which is sold via Tännäs Fishing Center ) In the Rogen area, three of Sweden's largest rivers are also running; Klarälven-Göta älv , Dalälven and Ljusnan .
Tännäs Fishery Care Area Association consists of approximately 400 fishing rights owners and comprises 62 water, lakes, ponds and water flowing in a magnificent mountain nature. At Tännäs Fiskecentrum there is a fishing shop with most things that may be needed for a fishing trip. There are also guided fishing trips and courses, as well as rental of boats and electric motors.
