The boat ramp is located in the southern part of the lake. The gate is locked with a combination lock. You will receive the combination when you buy your fishing license at Lasses Fiskehörna (see above). There are two boats for hire, one of them situated in the southern part of the lake (contact Lasses Fiskehörna) and the other one located close to Vallsjöbaden on the western shore.

Vallsjöns FVO
Lake Vallsjön, with its clear water, is located to the east from Sävsjö. It is a 1400-acres lake inhabited by numerous big perch and pike. The perch fishing in Vallsjön is probably one of the best in the southern part of Sweden, both when it comes to quantities and the size of the fish. Fishes above 2 pounds are frequently caught and the biggest documented perch in the lake was almost 4 pounds. The biggest pike caught was 26,5 pounds.
There are also plenty of whitefish, which function as a great food resource for the perches and pikes of the lake. The most used fishing methods in the lake are jigging, trolling and spin fishing, but fishing with natural bait can also be very rewarding. Jigging and match fishing for pike through the ice is best in the northern part of the lake. Since the depth varies in this part of the lake, the fish can be searched for either in deep or shallow waters depending on the conditions. Lake Vallsjön is also abundant in crayfish, but fishing of these is restricted to land owners
