Västra Örten

Lake Västra Örten is located in Forshaga and Karlstad municipality approximately four miles north of Karlstad. There are two main roads to the lake, via highway 62 and Deje or via highway 63 and Molkom, take one of these and then drive towards Mölnbacka.

Parking and launch launches are located at the lake in Mölnbacka , with a handicap bridge and wind shelters available.

The lake has an area of 1100 hectares and is surrounded by varied nature, including high mountains. There is a rich birdlife and islands with, among other things, ancient memorials.

Good fishing for goose, pike and perch.
