Rules for 24-hour fishing license in Floda-Björbo Fisheries Management Area

Through Björbo and Dala-Floda, in a distance of only 15 km, flow no less than six rapids, Käringforsen, Fänforsen, Hagelängsforsen, skålforsen, Forsgärdsforsen and Hagforsen.
The booking confirmation is valid as a fishing license within Floda-Björbo's fishing management area according to the area's regulations. The fishing license must be carried when fishing and must be shown to a police officer or fishing inspector on request.

Rules for tourist fishing licenses

1. Fishing may be conducted on payment of a fishing license in all waters in Floda parish with the exception of Basttjärn in Trolldalen, Östra Glasögontjärnen and Byrtjärnarna.
2. Children under 18 fish for free in public waters in the company of a guardian if the guardian holds a fishing license.
3. Fishing may only be conducted with the following gear:
   Spinning, reeling, fly, angling or pimping rod and jig (not rapids).
   Mjärde may not be used in noble fishing waters or the rapids.
4. Angling is available in all lakes and ponds (except Byrttjärnarna, Östra Glasögontjärn and Gystjärn). Max 15 fishing rods per card, minimum fishing hook size 10 cm.
5. All fishing with fixed gear aimed at precious fish is prohibited.
6. All crayfish fishing prohibited .
7. In Östra Glasögontjärn, only fly rod fishing is allowed.
8. All fishing from boats and floats is prohibited in noble fishing waters.
   Exceptions: Närsen, Älven, Gryssen, Långsjön and Olsen As well as Flosjön.
9. Prohibition against drift fishing with a bottle (bolt) or the like in all noble fishing waters.
10. All noble fishing waters: Fishing may only be conducted with 1 hand-held rod per person. A maximum of 2 noble fish may be caught per card per day. Minimum size for Trout 35cm. Also applies to streams and other smaller bodies of water where fishing is permitted (not the rapids, see below).
11. Noble fishing in all rapids:
    a) Only one handheld rod per person and card
    b) Only grayling and trout between 35-45 cm may be kept, all others must be released regardless of condition and only one trout and one grayling per fishing license and day may be kept.
12. Grouper fishing prohibited from 1 May to 1 June due to play.
    Trout fishing prohibited in flowing water from 15 Sept to 1 Nov If trout is caught in flowing water when grayling is conducted during the period 15 September to 1 November, it must always be released again regardless of condition or size
13. Rules for fishing in Kärringforsen - Special rules - Eco-Fishing: (These rules apply to both tourist cards and local cards)
    a) Ecological fishing so-called Catch and Release.
    b) Fishing permitted with a fly rod, fishing rod, spinning rod. Fly and live bait may be used. Hook must be barbless.
    c) All fish caught must be returned regardless of the condition of the fish. severely injured fish must be euthanized and put back in the rapids. (No fish may be kept)
14. Fishing is prohibited 100 m into the river at Fänforsen's rest area.
15. Rules regarding Flosjön : All trout between 50 - 100 cm must be released back regardless of condition, this is because they are invaluable breeding fish.
16. Trolling rules - Trolling prohibited, only one rod per person may be used from 15/6 2021, the trolling card is hereby issued.
17. Pike fishing Pike under 90 cm in length may be taken Applies to all waters except for the Älven where pike over 90 cm may be taken.

Any violation of fishing regulations will be punished. The fishing license must be carried when fishing and presented at the request of a fishing supervisor. Supervision takes place continuously. According to the annual meeting resolution and the Act on Fisheries Management Areas §31, the fisheries management area has the right to charge a fee of SEK 400 for illegal fishing.
