Rules for Ortskort/Fiskerätsbevis Fishing allowed on payment of fishing rights certificate or local card.

  Fishing allowed against payment of a fishing license or local card.

1. Persons registered in the church register in Floda parish as well as family members of fishing rights owners such as children, sons-in-law or daughter-in-law, even if they live in another town, have the right to redeem town cards.
2. Owners of holiday homes located within the fisheries management area, but residing in another location, have the right to purchase 1 location card per year.
3. Children under 18 fish for free if someone in the family has a card, this also applies in the company of grandparents.
4. Outstanding fishing gear must be provided with a name tag and telephone number (nets, nets, crayfish cages, etc.).
5. Fishing may be conducted in Floda parish except for Östra Glasögontjärnen and Byrtjärnarna.
6. Fishing may be conducted with the following hand tools: spinning, reeling, fly, fishing rod or pimpel rod as well as with fishing rod, fishing rod and net.
7. Net fishing only permitted in Flosjön and Närsen aimed at small whitefish (whitefish) with a fine-mesh net, maximum 16 mm mesh size.
8. Fishing rods max 15 per card, minimum fishing hook size 10cm.
9. Angling permitted in all waters with the exception of Basttjärn, Långsjön, Gysstjärn, Byrtjärnarna and Östra Glasögontjärnen.
10. Prohibition on fishing in noble fishing waters (also applies to the river's rapids) with nets, gill nets, Russian nets, long lines, otter, fishing line, pole hook and drift fishing with bottles or the like.
11. All fishing with fixed gear aimed at noble fish is prohibited, fishing allowed in Närsen.
12. Noble fishing waters: Fishing from boats and floats is prohibited, (except Närsen, Älven, Gryssen, Olsen, Dammsjön, Flosjön and Långsjön).
13. Noble fishing waters: Fishing may be conducted with 1 hand-held rod per person. A maximum of 2 noble fish may be caught per card per day.
14. Minimum size for Grayling and Trout: 35cm. Also applies to streams and other smaller bodies of water where fishing is permitted (not the rapids, see below).
15. Noble fishing in all rapids:
    a) Only one handheld rod per person and card.
    b) Only grayling and trout between 35-45 cm may be kept , all others must be released regardless of condition, only one trout and one grayling per fishing license and day may be kept.
16. Grouper fishing prohibited from 1 May to 1 June due to play.
17. Trout fishing prohibited in flowing water from 15 Sept to 1 Nov If trout is caught in flowing water when grayling is conducted during the period 15 September to 1 November, it must always be released again, regardless of condition or size.
    Rules for Flosjön: All trout between 50-100 cm must be released regardless of condition, this is because they are invaluable breeding fish.
18. Crayfish fishing: concession according to annual meeting decision.
19. Fishing is prohibited 100 m out into the river at Fänforsen's rest area.
20. Rules for fishing in Kärringforsen - Special rules - Eco-Fishing: (These rules apply to tourist cards as well as local cards)
    a) Ecological fishing so-called Catch and Release.
    b) Fishing permitted with fly, net and spinning rod. Fly and live bait may be used. Hook must be barbless.
    c) All fish caught must be returned regardless of the condition of the fish.​​​​​​
21. Trolling fishing - Trolling prohibited, only one rod per person may be used from 15/6 2021, the trolling card is hereby issued.
22. Pike fishing, Pikes under 90 cm in length may be taken up, all pike over 90 cm are released regardless of condition. Applies to all waters with the exception of the Älven where pike over 90 cm may be taken up.

According to the annual meeting resolution and the Act on Fisheries Conservation Areas §31, the fisheries conservation area has the right to charge a control fee of SEK 400 for illegal fishing. In addition, violation of the rules can mean suspension from all fishing in our waters if the violation is gross and intentional. Any violation of fishing regulations will be punished.

The fishing license must be carried when fishing and presented at the request of a fishing supervisor. Supervision takes place continuously.
