All waters within the fisheries conservation area are leased for short fishing.

Ormsjöorten's fisheries conservation area association administers the fisheries conservation area and provides fishing licenses.
Fishing rights holders and registered locals have the right to fish if they redeem "Fishing rights certificate" for SEK 50, which is issued by Ormsjöorten's fisheries conservation area association. This certificate applies to the holder and his household. Others redeem "Dyngskort" for SEK 75 or "Årskort" for SEK 350.

Day passes and Annual passes only apply to fishing with hand gear.

Rules

• Prohibition to fish with nets in all lakes.
• Prohibition on raking whitefish.
• Fishing bans for a certain period will apply after planting fish in the ponds. This will be announced via advertisement in Dorotea-Aktuellt, Facebook and our website.
• Trout fishing prohibited in Långseleån from 15/8 to 15/11. Grayling fishing allowed. Captured undamaged trout is released.
• Grayling fishing is prohibited from the bridge over Långseleån upstream of the entire river during the period 1/5 to 31/5.
• Total ban on worming in Långseleån.
• In Långseleån, all trout and grayling over 40 cm must be released. The length is measured from the tip of the nose to the outermost tip of the tail fin.
• It is only permitted to keep and kill a total of 3 salmonid fish (trout, char or grayling) per person per day.
• Fishing with nets is prohibited from the southern tip of Långön and upstream during the period 15/8 to 15/11 with the exception of whitefish fishing in Boselet during the period 15/10 to 31/10.
• Catch premium of SEK 50 for caught mink is paid to fishing right holders.
• Free fishing in Ormsjön for children empty. 15 years.

Fly fishing route - New from 2022-06-01

• A marked stretch starting at the beginning of Långseleån up to Nybodarna is only fly fishing allowed with "catch and release". This section has been closed for fishing for 3 years before, opened up 2022-06-01.
• Only day passes and fishing license certificates only apply here.
