Tourist card Mjörn

The tourist card CANNOT be combined with a boat card. Every fisherman in the boat must have a valid day card or tourist card.
The tourist card CAN be combined with the paravan card, see rules for this below.


RULES OF THE MÖRNKART 2021:
Identity document and fishing license must be brought with you when fishing!

Applies to fishing in Lake Mjörn with the exception of certain water areas, see map.
You must have an identity document and fishing license to fish in Mjörn, this must always be carried when fishing. During fishing inspections, you must be able to identify yourself and show your fishing license to the fishing inspector without further prompting. Facilitate control by stopping and picking up implements.

Children and young people up to the age of 17 may fish without a card, but must follow the regulations
applies to the fishing license in general.

Permitted fishing methods are angling, spinning, trolling, pimpel, 10 angelfish/ice fishing rod for ice fishing.

Eels are prohibited from fishing in Mjörn after 1 May 2007.

Long reefs prohibited!

Trout may not be fished from 15 September to 1 April. The minimum size for trout is 50 cm.

Trout caught during the ban period or below the minimum size must be released again!

Goes minimum size 45 cm

Fishing ban in Östadsviken during the period 15 April - 1 June!

Fishing with otter or salmon sledges prohibited. Rod paravans require a paravan card, which is only valid in combination with a valid annual pass or tourist card. Rod paravans may be used between 1/1 – 30/4 and 1/9 – 31/12 with this additional card. You may use a maximum of 6 rod holders.

Maximum number of rods: 6 in total per boat

When two or more people fish from the same boat and more than one gear is used, a fishing license is required for each participant or a valid annual license for the boat driver in combination with the additional boat license card.


ATTENTION! ATTENTION! ATTENTION!
Areas intercepted for fishing exist, see marking on fishing card. If you are caught fishing without a valid fishing license or if you have fished and killed an eel, you will be punished according to Swedish law.

If you break the other rules, a control fee (10% of the price base amount) will be printed on the spot by the fishing inspector.

In order to increase comfort, consideration should be given to lakeside residents and it is a matter of course that landowners are asked before you start fishing from the beach and jetties.
We should also remember that it is not a right, but a privilege to be allowed to fish and stay
at Mjörn, and perform afterwards.
