A fishing license is required for fishing. Fishing license entitles you to fishing with spin, drag, pipe, fly, fishing rod and angler.

Total ban on fishing and catching char. If char are caught, they must be released immediately. If dead char is found, it must be frozen (catch location, depth noted) and contact be made with the County Administrative Board.

Conservation area (See map)

Within the conservation area, all fishing from boats or ice is prohibited in the entire area. Fishing from shore is permitted with the exception of the time from October 15 to May 15 when it is prohibited. Fishing from plots of land, gardens or parks is prohibited unless permission has been obtained from the landowner.

North of the conservation area (Örserum Bay, Åsaviken) fishing is permitted throughout the year.

South of the conservation area, fishing is permitted all year round.

Fishing may not be conducted closer than 50 m from a park, garden or plot.

All char fishing is prohibited .

Control fee, 2 thousand kroner is charged by fisheries supervision when all char are caught.

Young people under 18 fish for free
Groups from schools and clubs receive a 50% discount on current fishing license prices.

Conservation area

In the south, the area is delimited by a straight line from a point at the buoy marking in the western part of the "Gapet" N57*57,672` and E14*34,838` to a point due east below Björkenäs N57*57,660` and E14*35,128`. In the north, the conservation area is delimited by a straight line from a point in the bay north of Anneberg N57*59,450` and E14*33,689` over Drakaberget, over kobbe south of Fridhemsudden (with 5-knot sign) to a point below Grankärr N57*59,382` - E14 *35,844`.
