Fishing regulations SFVOF - Surahammar fishing area association .

-This card does NOT entitle you to fishing on the special section Dammluckor/Bruks-Kraftstation down to Minneslunden during the first week when stocking spring/autumn noble fish such as trout/rainbow. This requires a regular annual pass!

-This card does NOT entitle you to ice fishing with multiple fishing rods/ice fishing rods or the use of jigs

1. The card

-Only one (1) fishing license per person is possible.

-The fishing license is personal and must be presented to a supervisor or the police upon request, together with valid identification . The fishing license is only valid if you can prove your identity.

- It is the duty of every fisherman to know the laws, constitutions, local regulations and rules.

3-day card - valid 72 h

-Card holders have the right to fish with only one (1) rod/pole.

- Bait nets, cast nets may be used for bait fish.

-Children/youths who can bring a rod themselves (cast out/reel in themselves) fish for free until January 1 of the year they turn 15 - however, this does not apply to trolling - for this a separate fishing license is required.

2. Fishing area

-Part of the Kolbäcksån from the longitudinal center line under Hedvallsbron in the north (road 668), to Surahammar's municipal border in the south, including Lake Magsjön, the Baltic Sea and Västersjön.
-When stocking goldfish, spring and autumn, special area/rules apply, see website www.surafvof.com.

3. The prohibitions
-This card does not entitle you to ice fishing with multiple fishing rods/ice fishing rods or the use of jigs.
-This card does not entitle you to fishing on the special stretch Dammluckor/Bruks-Kraftstation down to Minneslunden during the first week when stocking in spring/autumn with precious fish such as trout/rainbow. This requires a regular annual pass!

- Nets may not be used.

-Fishing with more than one (1) rod at the same time is not allowed.

-Fishing with a petrol or diesel engine running is not permitted.
-Powerbait and similar products are not permitted.

- Fishing hooks, pike scissors, long lines and the like are not permitted.

-Boats/flotation devices are prohibited from the sluice gates at the Bruksmuseet down to the mouth before the power plant stream, see website www.surafvof.com for map and red markings.

4. Measures and peace

-Minimum and maximum dimensions (catching window) for pike and pike: 45-70 cm.

- Catch quota (bag limit) for grayling, trout and rainbow trout: max. 2 per day.

-Protected fish species: Asp and Eel, enhanced protection throughout the year.

Protected fish, or walleye and pike outside the catch window, must unconditionally be re-released quickly, regardless of condition.

Measuring device must be brought with you to be able to measure the fish.

5. Violations of rules
-The fisheries management area's own supervisors check fishing licenses and that our fishing rules are being followed.
- In case of breaking the law and lack of a fishing license, confiscation and police reporting can take place.

- In the event of violations of the association's rules and regulations , cancellation of the fishing license and control fee may occur. The sum of the fee is SEK 1,000/violation. In the event of phishing, the fee is SEK 4,000.

- In the event of repeated offences, suspension from fishing for the fisheries conservation area may take place.

Examples of violations against the fishing association's rules:

Fishing with two rods at the same time, as well as using powerbait: Control fee 1 extra rod SEK 1000 + powerbait used SEK 1000, total control fee SEK 2000.

2 noble fish over the maximum quota - each fish is counted as a violation each, i.e. inspection fee SEK 1000+SEK 1000 gives a total inspection fee of SEK 2000.
