General fishing regulations

• Permitted fishing gear
  • One fishing rod may be used at the same time
  • Angler fishing with hook (not scissors) from ice. Max 10 dons.
• Fishing license and valid identification must be carried with all fishing.
• Fishing license is personal and must be shown to the supervisor on request.
• ATTENTION! In the event of violations of the rules of the fisheries conservation areas association, a control fee may be charged according to the Act (1981:533) on fisheries conservation areas.
• Total ban on net fishing, Russian fishing and long lines in the fishery conservation area!

Peace period and protected areas:

• All fishing is prohibited approx. 50 m upstream and approx. 50 m downstream of the lock facility. The fishing limit downstream of the lock is marked with signs, see also marked prohibited area on the map. It is forbidden to throw the bait into this area. This ban applies all year round!
• All fishing for salmon and sea trout is prohibited during the period 1 January - 18 June and 1 August - 31 December.
• During the rest of the time, i.e. 19 June – 31 July, the following applies: Catch limit and minimum size: A maximum of one (1) salmon or sea trout per day may be caught. The minimum length of 50 cm applies to both species.
• All fishing for zander is prohibited between May 1 and June 20.
• Conservation of breeding areas. All fishing is prohibited throughout the year in the streams of the fisheries management area and within a radius of 100 m from the outlet of the streams. Kallån and Billabäcken upstream Billatjärn excepted.

Water with special rules

• HAMPTJÄRN, Sund
  • A special fishing license is required. Sold by SFK Storfiskarna .
• SVARTJÄRN, Myckling
  • A special fishing license is required. Sold by SFK Storfiskarna .

Boat:

• Boats may be used for fishing with the exception of Hamptjärn and Svarttjärn.
• Trolling card entitles you to troll fishing with a maximum of 4 rods/boat in NMFVO's part of the Moälven.

• Pike, (40 - 75 cm) Max 3 fish/day
• Perch, (0-35 cm) Max 10 fish/day
• Goose, (45-70cm) Max 3 fish/day
• Sea trout, (min 50cm) Max 1 fish/day

Control fees from 2023

• Fishing with a net: SEK 4,000
• Fishing in unlicensed water: SEK 4,000
• Caught and killed fish of a non-permitted species or non-permitted size: SEK 500/fish
• Fishing with incorrect gear or bait: SEK 500
• Fishing with too many gear or incorrect handling: SEK 500/gear
• Maximum amount at the same time is SEK 5,250
