Total ban on catching trout from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2023.

Total fishing ban the stretch from Elverksdammen to one hundred meters downstream of the Factory Bridge according to marking and map. The ban applies throughout the year.

Fishing ban from 15 April to 31 May downstream of the Factory Bridge, including the harbor area all the way to Lake Sommen.
Fishing license is personal and valid for the entire calendar year 1/1 to 31/12 with the exception of day licenses.

General rules
Obligation to re-release; fish of a particular species caught during the prohibition period, or failing to comply with the prescribed minimum size, shall be released into the water immediately regardless of condition.

The above general rules do not apply to different types of test fish approved by the Swedish Fisheries Conservation Association or the County Administrative Board.

When fishing, a maximum of 1 eel per person may be caught and retained during each day.
Fishing with roach huts requires written permission from the landowner.
Fish of the species listed below may be caught only if they hold the following minimum dimensions:
Pikeperch 50 cm, eel 60 cm.

In the case of hand gear fishing without a valid sport fishing license or in the event of a breach of the above rules, a control fee of SEK 1,500 can be charged, alternatively a report is made to the police in accordance with the Fisheries Act.
Fisheries inspectors regularly check that rules are followed and that the prohibition routes are respected.

There are free fishing licenses to redeem for children and young people that offer free fishing for children and young people up to the age of 15.

FvO reserves the right to adjust prohibition periods, minimum lengths and fishing rules during the current calendar year if deemed necessary.
