Rules for fishing within Ljusdal's FVO 2022

• In order to fish, a valid fishing license is required according to the Fishing Act (1993:787).
• ATTENTION! We have an exception. This applies to Kyrksjön in central Ljusdal. Fishing is free there.
• The fishing license is personal. Must be carried while fishing and, on request, presented to the Police, fisheries enforcement personnel or fishing right owners.
• Control fee is issued in case of violation of the association's fishing regulations. See more info below under CONTROL FEE.
  Children under 15 fish for free in the company of a guardian.
• If you are between 15-18 years old, you can redeem a free youth card via I-fiske. On the day you turn 18, you redeem cards as an adult.
  The youth card entitles you to fish with only hand gear on waters within the fisheries management area.
  The youth card is NOT valid on our P&T water and Leån.
• No litter may be left. Everything must be taken home. Absolutely no cunts must be thrown into the waters.
• Burning must be done with care in the designated place. All burning takes place at your own risk.
• ALL fishing is for domestic use and caught fish may NOT be resold.
• ATTENTION! When you come from another municipality, we ask that you wash your boat before launching it, due to the risk of infection.

Fishing methods

• Not allowed to fish with pike scissors.
• Fishing with an otter board prohibited.
• Mashing ban applies.
• Grapple hook not allowed.
• Jerk fishing is not permitted.
• Fishing with an otter board is prohibited in all waters.
• Powerbait balls not allowed. (only the dough may be used)
• You may fish with sport fishing gear. That is fly fishing rod, fishing rod, casting rod or pimpel rod. Note only fly fishing rods in Sarvtjärn.
• Fishing from land or ice may be done with one gear per fisherman.
• Trolling: Max one trout per day and boat. Catch window 40-60 cm. A special Trolling card is required.
• Angling: Fishing from ice with a maximum of 15 don per angler
  Live bait is prohibited. Only bait from waters within the fisheries management area.
• Floating allowed in Råtjärn, Klacktjärn, Stora- and lilla Svartsjön. No oars may be used.
• In our P&T waters, you can take a 24-hour catch of 3 noble fish/card.
  You may redeem a maximum of 2 cards/day. The quota must not be exceeded.

Minimum measurement and maximum measurement (all water except tap water and roof water)

• Trout 40 – 60 cm. Catch window. Fish below and above these measurements must be unconditionally released back.
• Grayling minimum size 30 cm
• Goes minimum size 50 cm.
• Pike. All pikes over 80 cm must be released again

The fish need to be alone during their spawning period

Times when fishing for these species is prohibited:
Trout ban in all waters 1/9 – 31/12.
Grayling ban in all waters 1/4 – 15/5.
Spawning ban in all waters 1/6 – 1/7

Net fishing

• Net fishing may only be conducted by registrants and fishing rights owners in the waters where net fishing is permitted according to the regulations below.
• Only annual passes entitle you to net fishing.
• Fishing right owners and registrants with an annual license may set up to 5 nets or 150 m net length with a maximum depth of the nets of 6 feet (1.83 m) mesh size at least 40 mm.
• The nets must be marked with the owner's name and telephone number.
• Netting is only permitted in Hennansjön, Storsjön, Bäckesjön, Alsjön, Bursen, Klockarsjön, Letsjön, Medasen, Gryttjen, Gunnarsbosjön, Opplisjön, Örasjön between Hälsingenybo and Ramsjö, Gussjön
  Net bans apply in all other waters.
• A total net ban prevails within 200 m of all inlets and outlets in the mentioned lakes.

Float fishing

• Put-and Roof water. As usual, you redeem the card in the P&T water you want to fish + an additional card for float ring which costs SEK 50/day.
  Applies to Stora- and Lilla Svartsjön, Klacktjärn and Råtjärn.
• Movement NOT allowed in Sarvtjärn.
• No additional card is required for other waters.

The low beam

• The fly fishing section, the 450 meter long upper part of the Morvallström, only fishing with a fly rod.
  A maximum of 1 trout/grey may be kept per day.
  Other stretches fly and spin, max 3 grayling/trout may be kept per day.
• Catch window for trout 40-60 cm and minimum size for grayling 30 centimetres, pike minimum size 50 cm, Pike maximum size 80 cm.
• Fishing from a boat is not permitted in flowing water (Sträckan Morvall-Forsnäset, as well as Edängeforsen).
• Lujsnan is open for fishing in the streams 15/5-30/9.
• Trout protected from 1/9 – 31/12. Grayling may be fished until 30/9.
• The stretch between Forsnäset and Edängeforsen is permitted to fish all year round.
• Of course, the same rules apply to pike, trout, grayling and zander as in other parts of FVO.
• NOTE! That in Ljusnan between Morvall-Forsnäset and Edängeforsen, fishing with a baited hook is prohibited. Worm, maggot and all live/dead larvae/bait fish are prohibited.

Leon

• Only Catch & Release and quota fishing with a maximum of 10 fishermen per day. (Fishing licenses are purchased via Ifiske).
• Only fly fishing with a fly rod allowed.
• Only one barbless hook allowed.
• Fishing report requirements.
• Fishing time 15/5-30/9.
• NOTE! Fishing with a baited hook is prohibited. Worm, maggot and all live/dead larvae/bait fish are prohibited.

Put & Take Rules
Lilla and Stora Svartsjön and Clacktjärn & Råtjärn (Hennan)

• Max 3 fish per fishing license. You may redeem 2 cards/day.
• Fishing time Stora Svartsjön 26/12-30/9.
• Fishing time Lilla Svartsjön, Klacktjärn & Råtjärn from the ice fishing premiere until September 30.
• Floating permitted when purchasing a floating card
• You may fish with sport fishing gear. That is fly rod, fishing rod, casting rod or pimpel rod.
• Fishing from land or ice may be done with one gear per fisherman.
• HOOKS FORBIDDEN!
• Mashing ban
• Fishing with roe as bait prohibited due to risk of infection
• Jaw-Jacker not allowed
• Fishing with power bait balls is prohibited

Put & Take Rules
Sharpening iron

• Only fishing with FLY FISHING ROD.

• Fishing time Sarvtjärn, opens 20/5 2023, closes 30/10 2023.
• Max 3 fish per fishing license. You may redeem 2 cards/day.
• No movement allowed.
• HOOKS FORBIDDEN!

Örasjön in Finneby

• Net fishing and otter fishing prohibited.
  Max 3 trout per day. Catch window 40-60 cm.
• Trout protected from 1/9-31/12.
• As this is a sensitive water, we ask you not to take more fish than you need for a normal dinner.
  Feel free to put fish back. All application of catch and release must be done with caution and respect for a living being.
  Wet your hands before handling the fish. Barbless fishing is preferred for catch-and-release.

Väljeån

• Growing up area. All fishing prohibited until further notice to give the large trout population a chance.

Crayfish fishing

• All crayfish fishing is prohibited until further notice due to weak stocks.

Fixed and mobile gear (only registrants and fishing right owners)

• Fixed gear is considered gear attached and anchored to the bottom, which is left out for more than 48 hours in the same place. Examples are eel chest, salmon trap, Russian.
  Moving gear means nets, seines and small pike lures.
• Fishing with fixed and mobile gear may only be carried out by registered and fishing right owners in Ljusdals FVO, with an annual license.
• Fishing with fixed and movable gear may not be carried out at the inlets and outlets of streams, brooks, straits and rivers (200 metres).
• The fishing gear must be marked with name, address and telephone number.

Trolling fishing

• In order to engage in trolling, the fisherman must purchase an annual license and a trolling license
• Trolling is considered to be conducted when more rods than one rod per person are used.
• Max one trout per boat/day.

Angling

• For Angling, 15 don per fishing license applies. Do not take more fish than you need.
  Note the maximum measurement of 80 cm for pike and the minimum measurement of 50 cm for pikeperch.
• The bait fish must not be alive and must be taken from water within the fisheries management area.
• Sale of fish is not allowed, fishing only for household needs.

Movement of fish

• Movement of fish is not permitted by law.

CONTROL FEE

We charge a control fee for incorrect fishing or incorrect handling. Fisheries inspectors issue inspection fees directly on site and must be paid within 10 days.

Unpaid fees are handed over to debt collection.

Level 1: SEK 500 Violation of Ljusdal's FVO rules.
