RULES AND FISHING SUPERVISION

In order to promote sustainable use of fishing, facilitate fishing supervision and increase enjoyment when you fish in Spexhultasjön and Bäckafallasjön, the Fisheries Conservation Area Association has decided on certain rules that must be followed when fishing. The following rules apply:

Fishing water owner

Fishing water owners have the right to fish with hand gear as well as fixed gear (net, lure, longline, fishing line, ice fishing line) within their own water area. Fishing on other waters requires a fishing license. Crayfish fishing may be conducted by fishing water owners according to the rules that the Fisheries Management Association annually decides on.

Fishing license
1. A fishing license is required for fishing within the fisheries management area. Fishing licenses are personal. Fishing water owners may, however, fish within their own water area.
2. Fishing licenses are purchased at iFiske.se or from a board member of the fishing area association.
3. Children & young people up to and including 15 years of age fish for free but must take note of the rules that apply.
4. Only fishing with hand gear is allowed (spin fishing, angling, fly fishing, pipe fishing and angling/ice fishing).
5. For angling and ice fishing, a special fishing license is required per occasion. Max 10 tools per person.
6. Perch over 30 cm and pike over 70 cm must be released as soon as possible. If the fish is so injured that it is not expected to survive, it should be euthanized and preferably returned to the cycle.
7. Violation of fishing rules will be punished. A valid fishing license must always be presented when fishing
8. If you break any of the association's rules, an inspection fee of SEK 1,000 is payable.

Prices for fishing licenses are determined at the Fisheries Management District's annual fishing meeting. In 2023, the following prices apply:

According to the current ordinance on water protection areas, there is a total ban on two-stroke engines.
