Örlen is a 1500 hectare lake located in the Tibro municipality between Vänern and Vättern in the old Skåne region.
The lake has a depth of 28 m. The lake has clean and good water. There are two smaller catchment areas, Ulvån from Ulvsjön and Svartsjöbäcken from Svartsjön and Brännhultasjön. Lake Örlen flows through the 7 km long island of Örlan to Lake Viken. In recent years, the implantation of gös has occurred.
The fish in the lake Örlen has since 1943 been managed by Örlens fiskevårdsförening, which was later converted to Örlen's Fisheries Council.
The purpose of the association is to coordinate the fishing industry's fishing and fishing activities, to promote the common interests of fishermen and to allocate fishing rights to the public.
