Svärtaån nedre

  Södermanlands län / Nyköping municipality.

Svärtaån flows from Runnviken and Sundbysjön and flows into Sjösafjärden. Here, attractive fishing for several species is offered in a stretch of approximately 280 metres. Svärtaån is especially known for its large ide and during the spring there is a good chance of catching ide above the large fish registration limit. Perch, zander and pike are also popular species to aim for in the river.

  • In order to fish in the river, a fishing license is required, which must be shown at the request of a supervisor or the police. You must also be able to prove your identity.
  • Fishing is only allowed from the east side of the river. A prerequisite for maintaining the sale of fishing licenses is that there is no littering along the river. The rubbish you take to the river is also taken home.
  • The fishing season in the river is divided throughout the year. During January 1 - March 31, the river is protected. Between April 1 - April 30, only day tickets for specimen fishing are sold. From May 1 - December 31, both day passes and season passes are sold, which include other forms of fishing.
  • Catch reporting is a requirement when fishing and takes place here via iffishing.
  • Young people under the age of 18 fish for free from May 1 to December 31 after purchasing a free fishing license.

For specific rules, see regulations under various fishing licenses.

The area includes one or more fishing areas for catch-and-release, i.e the fishes are gently put back into the water alive.
Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 17.
