Ätran's Lower Fishing Area Association has today, together with Falkenberg's Laxfiske, decided on a release obligation for all caught salmon on all routes. The reason is that the migration of spawning fish is far too small, which can affect regrowth. The same decision has been made in club water and in Högvadsån's fisheries management area, and thus covers the main salmon-bearing parts in their entirety. The decision applies from 7/5 until further notice, but is continuously reassessed every 14 days. Fishing is allowed if Catch & Release is applied.

Members are allowed to fish from the boundary marking about 400 meters downstream of the bridge in Vessigebro to the bridge on old road E6. Members with fishing water on the stretch of the bridge in the Vessigebro border marking approx. 400 meters downstream, may exercise their fishing right also on this stretch in accordance with the list of fishing rights. Information on which stretches you have fishing rights can be found in the fishing rights map that was drawn up in connection with the establishment of the fishing protection area. Members with a fishing license may bring a fishing guest with them.
