Stora Ullen

Big Wool is a deep, about 7 km2 clear water lake located a few km SE of Hagfors.
The lake is the source of drinking water for Hagfors and Munkfors.

Here are natural strains of trout, char, pike and perch. There are also whitefish, whitefish, burbot and eel, and implanted Gullspång trout (fin-clipped).

A simple place for båtisättning are at the lake's outlet in Hagälven (wool dam). It is not suitable for big rigs. A shelter with barbecue are at the beach on Långnäs- Udden's west side. A 300 m long path leads to the windbreak from the road that runs north of the lake.

 Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 18.

Stora Ullens FVOF

Stora Ullen's Fisheries Conservation Area Association manages the fishing in Lake Stora Ullen. The association's purpose is, among other things, to coordinate fishing, fisheries management and grant fishing rights to the public, as well as promote the members' common interests.
The association is a member of the Swedish Fisheries Owners' Association.
