The lakes and Flaten Mosjön located within Gnosjö municipality. The lakes are connected by scenic Marieholmsbruk channel extending from Marieholmsbruk via Flaten to Hillerstorp. Flaten included in Storåns water that flows into the lake Bolmen. Flaten is very shallow beaches and the maximum depth is 9 meters. Mosjöns beaches are not quite as shallow and has a maximum water depth of ca. 10 meters.
