There are about 100 lakes and ponds in the area with an area of about 1500 ha.
At 20 of these lakes there are shelters, jetties and toilets. There are also cabins for rent, most of which are directly adjacent to the fishing waters. For fishing in flowing water there are mainly five larger watercourses with a length of about 75 km. In addition to this there are a number of smaller streams with exciting angling.
In addition to fishing, the area offers rich opportunities for cultural and natural experiences. There are, among others, five large nature reserves with a primeval forest-like character. If you are wondering about all the Finnish-sounding names on the maps, these originate from the Finnish colonization in the 17th century. Today, the Finnbyarna form a picturesque feature of the landscape that is reminiscent of a bygone era.
