Brännsvinsdammarna is a unique fly fishing lake in the heart of Skåne with Sweden's southernmost trout lake. In the lush landscape there are rolling hills covered with tall beech forests.
The ponds have crystal clear and cold water from several ice dams. The ice dam water holds 8 gr all year round. We regularly stock both rainbow trout, trout and char in the ponds - even some larger trophy fish! Our ponds are based in a natural stream that was dug out in the mid-17th century to create a reservoir for brandy production, but is now a pleasant fly fishing lake.
For those of you who come from a long way away, or want to get up and fish early when the fog still lies over the mirror-like water, there are two different accommodation options today. Option one is part of a dwelling house 50 m from the dams with five places and option two is the hunting and fishing house 75m from the new dam with four places. Further information about the accommodation can be obtained by calling directly 0705 - 12 17 09 or email peterlindholm36@gmail.com for booking.
There is parking in the courtyard and at the dam we have made arrangements so that fish can be weighed, cleaned and grilled.
Just nearby, the beautiful Vinneå meanders through the landscape. The fishing license also includes the opportunity to fly fish for natural brown trout in the river. Only catch & release in the river.
