Lake Östra Silen is a sport fishing paradise with large specimens of char, trout, gullspång salmon, whitefish, pike, perch and various species of whitefish.
The water is crystal clear, which benefits the various salmon species. The lake offers pelagic fishing with large water surfaces and depths down to almost 50 meters, but there are also countless calm bays with shallow water that are not sensitive to wind for sport fishermen. Trolling, spin fishing and angling have good conditions for success. The surroundings are wilderness with varying forests and mountains.
Östra Silen's fisheries management area protects long-term sustainable fishing, so do not catch more fish than you need. Larger fish should always be released back as carefully as possible.
