Säven is the largest lake in the fisheries management area. An area of 1226 ha and an estimated maximum depth of 34 meters.
Other lakes included: Baståssjön, Dövedalssjön, Lillesjö, Malsjön, Rönåsasjöarna, Sandsjön, Lilla and Stora Tränningen, Lövåsasjön, Vänga damm, Gräddån, Kvarnabäcken, Myresjöån, Rönåsaån, Torvån, Säveån downstream of Vänga damm. Björsjö and Hindsjö are two small lakes included, but fishing is prohibited there during the birds' nesting period.
The vast majority of lakes are shallow lakes, with only a few meters of depth, which attracts ice fishing.
Säven is our absolute premier water, depending on size, depth variation and the only lake in our FVO that harbors pike perch.
