Närdingen is almost 12 km long. Närdingen is a regulated water and a reservoir for the Hallsta paper mill. You can fish for pike, perch, zander, tench, roach and bream, among other things.

Närdingens FVOF offers free fishing for children and young people. Please read and follow the general fishing rules that apply for the area.

Närdingens FVOF bildades 1980. Fiskevårdsområdet utgör en sammanslutning av samtliga ägare av fiskevatten. Fiskevårdsområdet omfattar allt fiske inom vattenområdet. Fiskevårdsområdet har till syfte att främja ett givande och mångsidigt fiske i Närdingen samt att taga tillvara fiskevattenägarnas intressen.
Allt överskott från fiskekort går tillbaka till sjön genom utsättning av gös.
