Kävlingeån/Löddeån
Kävlinge- och Löddeån fvo manages a fishing area from its mouth in Öresund and 30 km up to L Harrie.
The main stretches of the river consist of calm sections with good environments for many fish species and have a very diverse fish fauna with up to 28 different species. In the lower parts of the river there are large populations of perch and pike. Pike between 15 and 20 kg are caught annually. In the more flowing sections of the river and in the mouth area, sea trout are caught, mainly during early spring, January to April. Along the river there is a row of old water mills, which consist of thresholds and dams that can be obstacles to the migration of fish in the river. Several fishways have been built to facilitate the migration of fish. Over the past 30 years, water quality has improved significantly, which has led to more favorable conditions for many fish species. One species that has clearly increased in numbers is the sea trout.
