Lake Trösken has two major inflows, the Älgängsån is a natural inflow and the Dalälven is connected via a tube.
Trösken is a calcareous water that has had much improved water quality since all households have been connected to municipal sewage. Trösken flows into the sea via a stream in Harnäs, and BillerudKorsnäs has a pumping station.
Part of Trösken is included in Natura 2000 as both the lake and parts of the surroundings are worth preserving. Trösken has a rich wildlife with several protected species of various insects and birds. Every year a lot of large perch, pike, tench and roach are caught, but there are many more species.
There are many nice places to fish from land and also several places to launch a boat, the best is at the association's clubhouse where we have a proper ramp with parking for cars with trailers. The lake is also good for paddling and there are many islands to camp on.
The association conducts competitions in the form of ice fishing, angling and pike competitions.
Welcome!
