Älvasjön is located in a fantastic area with uniquely varied sport fishing and is one of the southernmost lakes in the country with large whitefish and breeding large loons, while it is located close to the urban area of Halmstad and just south of Simlångsdalen with all its nature reserves and hiking trails.
Älvasjön is a spring lake with good visibility in autumn, winter, spring and early summer, 21m deep and large areas with 10-15m depth. A stone reef with 10m depth on both sides that extends northeast from the island to the greatest depth. With steep, rapidly deepening beaches especially from the east. A smaller inlet from a small stream in the southeast and outlet in the southwest.
