Between September 22nd and December 5th, fishing is prohibited in: Knäsjöarna, Brynåstjärn, Ljustjärn, Fisklösen, Ingeborgtjärn, Kråkbotjärn, Lill-Blästjärn, Långtjärn (Loka), Märråtjärn, Lövtjärn, Digerbergtjärn, Lextjärn, Stortjärn (Stortjärnsåsen), Navarsjön, Rensjön, Toraldtjärn, Kårängstjärn and Abborratjärn (Tennådalsvägen).
Älvdalens FVOF offers you a wide selection of fishing licenses for fantastic fishing waters. Here you can find everything from stream fishing in Österdalälven, Rotälven, Vanån and Tennån to fishing in lakes, ponds and streams.
In the streams there are mainly trout and grayling and in the lakes usually perch and pike but sometimes also char and trout. The area is very accessible and you can reach most waters by car. But if you want, you can head out to fishing waters in roadless terrain and experience the proximity to wilderness and exciting fishing in forest lakes and streams.
Fishing in the rivers reaches its peak in connection with the insect hatching at the end of May and during June and July, while lake and pond fishing starts a little later and is good for a large part of the summer.
Winter fishing starts as soon as the ice has set, which normally happens in November and fishing continues until the end of April. In addition to ice fishing for perch, there are also opportunities for ice fishing for char, trout and rainbow trout.
