Ängersjö FVOF

For those looking for a challenge in fishing, we recommend Iguln, Svartsjön and Tällåstjärnen with both trout and char. Sometimes it seems sluggish, but then try bottom fishing with a large earthworm on these occasions or fishing with a lead nymph that is brought in slowly. Around midsummer when large sand dragonflies swarm, catch the char fresh on a dry fly.

The Paljakka char, which we have been releasing for several years from the Finnmark, is still breeding in Iguln, Svartsjön and Tällåstjärn.
It is a relatively genetically unaffected Arctic char that differs significantly from other char strains with its strong coloration.
The pelvic fins are broad with strong white border markings. The abdomen is fiery red or orange and the spotted colour pattern on the sides is strongly marked, something that is reinforced in the mature fish.

In Lake Tällåstjärnen, in addition to the trout and char that are descended from stocked fish, there are plenty of brook trout, which usually do not grow larger than 2-3 kilograms, but occasional kilo fish have been caught recently.

Stocking of trout and char will take place until late autumn, and then there will be a fishing ban until the premiere of winter fishing.
