Arjeplogs Snöskoterförening Rapatjärn

Rapatjärn is a pond about 600m x 50m, about 5 km outside the community of Arjeplog. The area is scenic and offers, in addition to fishing, great opportunities for outdoor activities and hiking/walking.

Rainbow trout are planted in the pond annually, and there is also a natural population of pike and perch.

Adjacent to Rapatjärn there is a large cabin with seating for 20 people.
There is a gas stove and a diesel heater if it gets cold.
There is also a wood-fired sauna nearby.

Arjeplog Snowmobile Association was formed in the late 1960s. The purpose of the association is to make snowmobile trails in the local area accessible. We also conduct recreational fishing in 3 ponds in Arjeplog, with put and take fishing. The fishing area is accessible for the disabled. The area is scenic and, in addition to fishing, also offers great opportunities for outdoor activities and hiking/walking. Rapatjärn is located in the Åsen area, which is an area with several ancient remains such as trap pit systems, hearths and cooking pits.
