Welcome to fishing in Lake Ballingslövssjön and Lake Ottarpasjön!
Here you can find perch, bream, pikeperch, pike, carp, tench, eel and some catfish lurking in the bottom mud.
You can get here via national road 23 between Hässleholm and Osby. Turn off towards Tockarp about 15 km north of Hässleholm. After 600 meters there are parking spaces at Sjömellet.
At Sjömellet, Ballingslövssjön and Ottarpasjön are connected by a navigable canal. At Sjömellet there is a nice swimming area with a bathing jetty and barbecue area. Unfortunately, it is not possible to rent/borrow a boat from the fishing association.
To ensure good water quality and safe conditions for both people and nature, the Fisheries Conservation Association has had PFAS levels measured in our lakes during the summer of 2025. The results show that the levels are well below the current limit values, which means that we currently do not have any problems with PFAS.
We continuously work to ensure that our lakes remain clean and safe for swimming, fishing and recreation.

Ballingslövssjön's and Ottarpasjön's fishing conservation area is a fishing conservation area owned by the lakeside owners.
The fisheries area works actively to preserve and improve the environment in and around the lakes. We want to create the conditions for long-term sustainable fishing and healthy lakes. We have fishing rules for both anglers and fishermen, and work to maintain good relations between landowners, anglers, fishermen and anyone else who wants to enjoy our lakes.
