Betarsjön is the largest lake in Ångermanland with an area of 34 km2. The lake is located 196 meters above sea level and is a popular trolling lake.
Here you can find both trout and gullspångslån but also of course large perch and pike . The lake is divided into two parts, Vallsjön and Rusksjön respectively. There are also some smaller rivers connected to the lake and these are Ruskån, Rinnån and Röån.
There is also a floating restaurant in the lake called Galaxen. An island in Betarsjön is called Ramsön and there are also some smaller islets including Killingholmen and Hermanholmen.
