Borrsjöåns FVO

Borrsjöån's fishing conservation area offers recreational fishing and wild fishing in a forest environment, in and around the waters of Borrsjöån and Storån with tributaries, in lakes and ponds.
The watercourses flow through varied environments such as forests and primeval forests, upland areas, marshes and wetlands, agricultural landscapes and, in the lower parts of the system, industry and pleasant residential areas with several ponds in cultural landscapes.
Long stretches of calm flows in calm waters are combined with wide stretches and enclosures, as well as a number of streams in hilly terrain. This gives the adventurous fisherman and nature lover rich opportunities for exciting experiences away from noise and crowds.
Extensive fish conservation projects are underway in the upper part of the system with a focus on the conservation of species-specific Borrsjö trout, restoration of spawning grounds and wetlands.
