Borrsjöåns FVO

The Borrsjöån fishing conservation area offers fishing in a mostly forested environment in the waters of the Borrsjöån and Storån rivers with tributaries, as well as in lakes and ponds.
The watercourses flow through a varied environment such as forest and primeval forest, upland areas, marsh and wetland, agricultural landscapes and, in the lower parts of the system, pleasant residential areas with several ponds in a cultural landscape.
Long stretches of calm flows in calm waters are combined with shelters and a number of streams in slightly hilly terrain. This gives the nature-loving fisherman good opportunities for exciting experiences away from noise and crowds.
Fish conservation projects are underway in the upper part of the system with a focus on the conservation of the species-specific Borrsjö stream trout, as well as the restoration of spawning grounds and wetlands.
