Bullares lakes are the largest lakes in Bohuslän and meet 30 km of the 10 km long sprick valley that stretches from Halden at Idefjorden in the north to the Gullmarsfjord in the south.
The northern Bullaresjön is one of the deepest lakes in the county with its 39 meters.
Southern Bullarejön has a deepest depth of 26 meters. The runoff from the Bullares islands takes place via the Norwegian Enningdalsälven to the Idefjord.
In the Bullares lakes, there are the following fish species: perch, pike, roach, braxen, marrow, leg lover, nors, whitefish, hedgehog, eel, elritsa, trout and salmon.
Bullaren's fishing area includes North and South Bullaresjön, Aspen, Busjön and Stärkelandshöjden.
