The greatest depth is 13 meters, but the water level in the lake can vary. Easy fishing from land about 80% availability. Some parts of the lake are shallow, other parts of the lake are deeper. Only hand gear is allowed. Jälmån flows into Dalstorpsjön, the structure has long shallow rapids with deep holes in between calmer water. In Jälmån, fishing with spinning or fly is only allowed.
Fishing licenses are valid from Kvanen to the upper border in Jälmån.
There is a hiking trail that goes around the lake with barbecue areas and wind shelters.
Children under 15 years of age fish for free from land.
