HK Sverkestaån

Welcome to fly fishing in the beautiful Sverkestaån - the pearl of Bergslagen. The river has clear and fresh water and flows through the forests just north of Lindesberg in Västmanland. Every year many fine rainbows are caught here and also the occasional fine perch and pike. Our area extends from Spåruddsforsen and down to Hålldammen, 100 meters above Sundbo bruk. The lakes Ytterbysjön, Strålsjön and Gålsjön are also part of the area. There are three barbecue areas at Övre Forsen, one of which is at the wind shelter and a jetty from which it is easy to fish. The jetty is also accessible for people with reduced mobility. At Spåruddsforsen there is a wind shelter with barbecue area and also at Nedre Forsen. For those who want to take their camper/caravan to the river, there is the possibility of setting these up at Övre Forsen to enjoy a few days of fishing. Parking for other cars is available by the gravel road and then you can take a short walk of about 75 meters down to the river.
