Gårdviks FVOF

The fishery conservation area includes, among others, Stortjärn, Gårdvikssjön, Gruvsjön, Borängesjön, Seckan, Boxbotjärn, Bobrodden, Hjälptjärnen, Gullranstjärnen. Within Gårdvik's fishery conservation area is Lake Stortjärn, which offers fishing for trout and rainbow trout.

Fish are stocked twice a year, just before the premiere and in the fall. There are some nice barbecue areas around the lake.

The lake is, as the name suggests, a large pond, and fly fishing from a float ring can often give good results and be very exciting.

In the weeks around midsummer, large hatchings of the Sjösandsländan usually occur, and if you catch it at the right time, you can experience very exciting fishing for alert trout and rainbow trout.
