Härlunda FVO is located in the eastern part of Älmhult Municipality. There are about 60 lakes in a sparsely populated forest landscape, often with a strong wilderness feel. All lakes have good stocks of pike and perch, and tench, bream, roach, and other species are also present. In Norra Grytsjön, there is a population of zander that the association has introduced.

Waterfowl such as ducks, geese, cranes, and herons can be seen on most lakes. Loons are regularly seen in Getsjön.

Fishing permits and boat permits can be purchased via smartphone at iFiske.se.

The association has 9 boats for rental via iFiske, and they can be pre-booked. The code for the lock is sent by SMS shortly before the booking begins.

The fishing permit is valid for fishing in the following lakes:

We now have a total of 9 boats, 7 owned by the association and 2 private, but all can be pre-booked via iFiske.

Manual sales of boat permits have ended, as all bookings must now be made through iFiske.

The only exception is Handelsboden in Häradsbäck, where foreign tourists who cannot use iFiske can purchase a manual fishing permit for cash in local currency.

Thus, FVOF is responsible for fisheries conservation and fishing license sales in a large number of large and small lakes in Älmhult municipality above all.

Thus, FVOF practices active fisheries conservation with extensive liming operations since the 1980s to counteract acidification, as well as laying out vases and planting fish to maintain a good fish stock. Thanks to extensive steel contributions, the main part of the lakes is regularly limed. In addition to this, the association regularly invests its own money to be able to whitewash some smaller lakes and gullies that are not covered by the government subsidy. The association's goal is that as many lakes as possible in the area should be whitewashed in order to maintain a good fish stock. Examples of this are Sväckegyl, Klaragyl, Stora Piggagyl, Ilagyl and Dyagyl.
