Silence, peace and tranquility are sought by many. Since 1957, Hökensås Sportfiske has operated sport fishing tourism in the area. Here on the primeval mountain ridge Hökensås, approx. 45 km NW of Jönköping and 15 km SE of Tidaholm, there is silence.

The area has a strong impression of the remains of the ice sheet, where powerful sand deposits have shaped the area with ridge formations and dead ice pits. Many lakes are crystal clear spring lakes, but there are also forest stars with darker water. The raven is a characteristic bird in the area, where great loons and black-billed grebes also breed, but barn owls, tawny owls and grebes also thrive. The nature is reminiscent of the pine forest areas of lower Norrland with its barren style.

Hökensås Sportfiske offers fishing mainly for rainbow trout, trout and in Sänksjön also char. Essentially, we release rainbow trout. The ratio of 80% rainbow and 20% trout is a balance we try to maintain. In some lakes there are also natural stocks of pike, perch, roach and tench.

Fishing is mainly done from shore and wading works in most places. There are also jetties at some lakes, two of which have disabled jetties. It is also possible to rent a boat in five lakes in the area.

The lakes are divided according to fishing methods - fly fishing, spin fishing and angling. Some lakes are quotas and are allowed only for fly fishing, some are rental lakes and can be rented for companies or groups. In winter, pimp fishing is conducted in all short lakes, but not in the quota lakes or rental lakes.

This area has one or more fishing spots available for disabled. For more information, please see the fishing area map, or contact Hökensås Sportfiske AB.
In this area, there is one or more "put and take" waters.
