Kraddsele SFF

Kraddsele's stretch of the wild and beautiful national river, Vindelälven, starts about 7 km below Ammarnäs and stretches 16 km downstream. 11 km consists of streams and 17 rapids of varying size. The entire route is parallel to road 363 and has good accessibility.

Within the area there is varied and very good fishing for large grayling and rough trout. The fishing for large trout in Kraddsele's part of the Vindelälven is fantastic, with an average weight of 3.22 kg (2024).

The Järnfors stretch is Kraddsele's big trout paradise, and can without further ado be named the hottest of the Ammarnäsöringen stands. In addition, there is Övreforsen, with fantastic grayling fishing and fine stands for trout.

The number of fishing spots for fishing for Ammarnäs trout that Kraddsele offers, as well as the catch statistics on the same, are in a class of their own if you look at the number of trout caught per fishing day.

The grayling fishing is also very good on the entire 16 km long stretch of the wild and beautiful Vindelälven that Kraddsele offers. A special effort has been made to further increase the number of captured trophy hares in the area. That investment seems to have succeeded, as increasingly larger greyhounds are reported each year.

Within the area there are quota special sections for fishing after Ammarnäsöring, and on the general section there is also a very nice fly fishing section. Although the spinning angler has a lot to choose from, it must be admitted that it is perhaps above all the fly angler who finds his gold mine in the Kraddsele area.

The fishing rules within the management organization are set based on a sustainability perspective with both catch and size restrictions as well as quotas for the number of fishermen among the current rules. The aim is as simple as it is obvious - to guarantee a fishing resource that is today top class and that can only get better in the future.
