Kraddsele SFF

Kraddsele's stretch of the wild and beautiful national river, Vindelälven, begins about 7 km below Ammarnäs and extends 16 km downstream. 11 km consists of streams and 17 rapids of varying size. The entire stretch runs parallel to road 363 and has good accessibility.

The area offers varied and very good fishing for large grayling and large trout. The fishing for large trout in the Kraddsele section of the Vindelälven is fantastic, with an average weight of 3.22 kg (2024).

The Järnfors stretch is Kraddsele's large trout paradise, and can easily be named the hottest of the Ammarnäs trout spots.

The number of fishing spots for Ammarnäs trout that Kraddsele offers, as well as the catch statistics on the same, are exceptional when looking at the number of trout caught per fishing day.

Grayling fishing is also very good along the entire 16 km stretch of wild and beautiful Vindelälven that Kraddsele offers. A special effort has been made to further increase the number of trophy grayling caught in the area. This effort appears to have been successful, as increasingly larger grayling are reported each year.

Within the area there is a special quota stretch for fishing for Ammarnäs trout, and on the general stretch there is also a very nice fly fishing stretch. Although the spin fisherman has a lot to choose from, it must be admitted that it is perhaps above all the fly fisherman who will find their gold mine in the Kraddsele area.

The fishing rules within the management organization are set from a sustainability perspective with both catch and size restrictions as well as quotas for the number of fishermen among the applicable rules. The aim is as simple as it is obvious – to guarantee a fishing resource that is currently top-class and can only get better in the future.
