Lainio Samfällighetsförening

Lainio Samfällighetsförening manages the fishing rights for more than 30 kilometers of the Lainioälven. Including tributaries, it makes up more than 60 kilometers of flowing water and a large number of lakes. The fishing waters are between Lannavaara and the municipal border towards Pajala. The waters also include the seven kilometer long Taanikurkkio, one of Europe's longest and most beautiful natural canyons.
The rapids offer great opportunities for fly fishing: salmon, trout and grayling. In the seine between the rapids there are both coarse pike and perch as well as a fine stock of whitefish that can be caught both on fly and with spinners.
