Mossjön i Falkenbergs kommun

Mossjön (also called Måssjön) in Abild is located along road 150 between Falkenberg and Torup, about 20 kilometers from Falkenberg. A nice and perfect lake that is only a 15-minute drive from Falkenberg city center.
The lake is part of the Ätran main catchment area.

Unfortunately, there are no available boat ramps in the lake.

Fiskeguide i Falkenberg AB manages the fishing throughout the lake, from 11/11 2022, short-line fishing is allowed throughout the lake for the first time (except during the spawning period in the western part of the lake).
The lake is beautifully framed by hills and trees. The lake has several nice bays and islands. The average depth is about 4.5 m and the maximum depth is about 20 m. The lake's surface area is about 1.7 square kilometers. Mossjön is rich in whitefish such as zander and roach, which provides plenty of food for our predators. There are plenty of pike and fine specimens are caught every year. The perch population is really rich, especially a large population of so-called thousand brothers (small perch), but the lake also has plenty of large perch. There is a very small population of pikeperch in the lake that we are very worried about. All pikeperch must be released without fail.
