Up to 200 lakes and streams and 16 km of running water within the Rämen fishery area.
The larger watercourses consist of lakes with plenty of pike and perch, there is also salmon trout and pike in some of the waters. In the woods there are mostly pike and perch. In some running waters, salmon trout can be caught.
There are very good opportunities for canoeing as the waters are so closely linked, only short movements need to be made.

Within the area, there is also a Filipstad Municipal Fishing License .
The municipal fishing license is a collaboration between the fisheries management area associations Alstern-Lungens FVOF, Grundsjöhyttans FVOF, Horssjön-Långbans FVOF, Rämens FVOF, Yngens FVOF , Aspen-Daglösens FVOF, Gåsborns FVOF, Nordmarksälvens FVOF and Skåltjärnshyttans FVOF.
