Önskasjön is a wilderness lake of 869 hectares of clear water located 70 km northwest of Örnsköldsvik, 10 km outside Trehörningsjö. The shoreline is 29 km long. Önskasjön has been regulated for at least 200 years.
The maximum depth in the lake is approximately 56 m. The average depth is 15.2 m.
Every year since 1969, either trout, char or rainbow trout have been released. However, the lake has recently become very popular for its very large pikes, as we have had a C&R competition, Önskegäddan, for 10 years.
The lake also has the shrimp Mysis since the ice age, which is the basis for all fish here. We have a wilderness campsite without service facilities with space for about 10 caravans, beautifully located in Nordsjöviken, a stone's throw from the water.
Access to fresh water, wind shelter with split wood. Outdoor toilet. 4 boats and 2 electric motors and 4 batteries that we rent out. A small cabin can also be rented with a wide bunk bed, table and 2 chairs, but without a heat source.
In Dammviken there is a disabled-friendly pier and a disabled-friendly outdoor toilet.
In total we have 9 wind shelters with a fire pit and usually split wood scattered around the lake. Beautiful swimming area in Hemviken. Concrete launching ramp in Nordsjöviken and natural launching in Ekorrviken.
FVOF since 1969.
Stocking of noble fish annually. Our purpose is to make the lake as pleasant as we can and our goal to get people out into nature to relax with fishing or just be.
