Örlen is a 1500 ha lake located in Tibro municipality between Vänern and Vättern in the old Skaraborg County.

The lake has a depth of 28 m. The lake has clean and good water. There are two smaller catchment areas, Ulvån from Ulvsjön and Svartsjöbäcken from Svartsjön and Brännhultasjön. Lake Örlen flows via the 7 km long river Örlan to Lake Viken. In recent years, pike-perch have been introduced.

Suitable fishing is done from a boat, there are landing sites. Landing sites are available in Bråbacka and the new Örlenbadet at the campsite.
Sport fishing with hand gear, surface trolling and angel fishing/ice angling is permitted.

Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 15.
Children / Youth must be able to fish on their own (Throw / crank / fish themselves)
Only with hand tools and surface trolling.

The fish in the lake Örlen has since 1943 been managed by Örlens fiskevårdsförening, which was later converted to Örlen's Fisheries Council.

The purpose of the association is to coordinate the fishing industry's fishing and fishing activities, to promote the common interests of fishermen and to allocate fishing rights to the public.
