Ovanåkers FVOF manages water in the middle parts of Ovanåkers municipality with the urban area of Edsbyn in the south. The nature consists of typical Hälsinga miles of forests and waters with stocks of trout, char, grayling and a large number where there is a chance of large pike and perch.
Within the area there are also a number of put- & take waters with planted fish for those who like a slightly more accessible fishing. There are jetties (also adapted for the disabled), shelters, outdoor toilets and fireplaces.
BERGSBOSJÖN
Trout are continuously released, there is also a natural, but weak stock of grayling. Two boats are available for loan. Shelters are available. Included in the regular annual pass.
BJÖRATJÄRN
Put- & take waters where rainbow trout are released, there are also perch. Disabled-friendly jetty, shelter, outdoor toilets and fireplaces.
LOFTSSJÖN
Clear water lake with trout and char, also pike and perch. Two windbreaks are available. Included in the regular annual pass.
OL-ANDERSTJÄRN
Windbreaks and jetties are available. Included in the regular annual pass.
VÄRASEN
Clear water lake with a visibility depth of 5 meters, trout are naturally present and char. Large rockfish/sjösandslunde hatching in June. All fish over 50cm must be released back!
ÖSTRA NYASEN
Östra Nyasen is a spring water lake located 7 km north of Edsbyn. Rainbow trout are continuously released. Parking spaces are only a few meters from the jetty itself where the boats, fireplace, disabled toilet and a disabled jetty are also available. Your own boat is approved for use, but only with an electric motor.
